Confidentiality All information provided by the patient will be treated with the utmost sensitivity and confidentiality. Every area of treatment and administration is governed by this principle of ethics. Consultations in-person or by distance Ideally, consultations are undertaken in person. However, consultations can be conducted either in person or over the phone. This makes appointments more accessible for those wishing to have Heilkunst treatment but who are unable to make it to the clinic. Appointments Regular appointments are generally 4–6 weeks apart, but may be scheduled more frequently in certain cases and at times where more vigilant monitoring is necessary. Remedies All remedies are included at no extra charge as part of a consultation fee. Remedy replacements, as needed, can be provided for a basic dispensing fee. Health Guide You will be provided with a general guide that details various measures you can take to ensure greater health. Its contents are based on natural principles and the latest research. It is distributed in electronic form and will be sent following your initial consultation. Health Products Some supplements may be recommended. While the clinic does not stock these products, many can be purchased either online or at your local health food stores. Consultations What to Expect As a practitioner I strive to help you attain a true level of health at a reasonable cost. One of the more challenging aspects of seeking help outside of the conventional medical system is to know where to start and what to expect. Heilkunst provides a set of principles for the application of several different modalities into one rational system. Treatment is therefore safe, less complicated, less costly and more effective. All information provided by the patient will be treated with the utmost sensitivity and confidentiality. Every area of treatment and administration is governed by this principle of ethics. Initial Consultation The initial consultation is an opportunity to get familiar with Heilkunst. During this session we will have a chance to meet one another, go over any questions you may have, address your immediate health concerns and decide how best to proceed with treatment. We will take a look at your dietary, exercise and sleeping habits, your water and supplement intake, level of stress management and any additional natural therapies (massage, acupuncture, yoga etc.) you’ve been following. You will also be asked about any conventional drugs or herbs you may be taking so that any potential interactions or nutrient depletions can be addressed. This consultation will set the foundation for the maintenance of health and to qualify you for further treatment. Any required remedies will be included in the fee of the consultation. Main Consultation Once you have a foundation and have decided to pursue a deeper modality of treatment, we will proceed to the next step, which is Sequential Treatment. This is the beginning of a more extensive look at the issues causing your health concerns. In the main consultation you will be asked to go into further detail. A complete intake assessment (head to toe) will be taken. Clarifications regarding your timeline will be addressed and discussed. All remedies will be included in the fee of the consultation. Please look at the guide to developing a timeline and bring your completed timeline with you to your appointment. Follow-up Consultations The follow-ups are a continuation of Sequential Treatment. The purpose of the follow-ups is to assess regularly, the progress of your treatment. You will be asked to describe any changes that have occurred since your last visit. We will also discuss any occurrences related to your life circumstances or your condition. These all contribute to the assessment of the case and of the remedies being prescribed. Our body follows a natural rhythm during the remedial (healing) process. Once a trauma has been cleared, the body needs time to heal and repair. This period can vary anywhere from 21 to 42 days depending on the individual’s level of well-being. Once a certain level of balance has been achieved the life force then begins to address the next trauma. For this reason we schedule follow-ups on a monthly basis. All remedies will be included in the fee of the consultation. Acute Consultations Situations may arise between treatments that require a reassuring word or an acute remedy. Normally, this doesn’t require an extensive consultation and can be addressed fairly quickly. If remedies are required, they will be included in the cost of the consultation.
