Sara Dubeau, DHHP, DMH
Doctor of Medical Heilkunst I have wanted to be in the healing profession for as long as I can remember. Growing up, the natural sciences and the complexities of human nature always held a certain intrigue. The concept of health was especially interesting. It often left me questioning, what is true health? What are the origins of disease? Which conditions foster health and which promote disease? What impact does sustained emotional and physical stress have on our health? Why are some people happy and others angry, depressed or anxious? What makes for a fulfilling life and how do we achieve it? As I pondered these questions I began to realize that true health is more than simply an absence of symptoms, but is instead, a profound state of being. In my search for a system of holistic medicine, I discovered the Hahnemann College for Heilkunst. In 2009, I completed their diploma program, earning my DHHP, and I became a Doctor of Medical Heilkunst with the Canadian-International Heilkunst Association. Being an eternal student, I continue to expand my understanding of this dynamic system through additional education. In the community, I am currently working with Sustainable Living Ottawa West to develop a model of sustainable alternative healthcare. I believe that every person deserves the right to a healthy, happy and fulfilling life. In my practice, I work with my patients to help them achieve their personal health goals. Witnessing my patients attain freedom from disease, experience a feeling of empowerment, and live an abundant life is my greatest reward as a practitioner. Remediation with Heilkunst has improved my state of mind, my physical health and my sense of self. I feel privileged to be able to share this experience with others. In my day to day, I strive to nurture positive relationships, enjoy great food, live wisely and laugh often. |
